NDI Named a 2022 Top Employer in the Waterloo Area

Waterloo, Ontario – January 27, 2022 – NDI (Northern Digital Inc.), a global-leading innovator and manufacturer of 3D tracking and navigation technology solutions, has been named one of Waterloo Area’s Top Employers for 2022 by Mediacorp in its annual competition and compilation. This is NDI’s fourth straight year achieving this designation.

The Waterloo Area’s Top Employers competition recognizes leading local employers for their ability to attract and retain top talent and for providing employees with a standout place to work.

Employers are evaluated and compared to other companies in their field against the following criteria: (1) physical workplace, (2) work/social atmosphere, (3) health, financial and family benefits, (4) vacation/time off, (5) employee communications, (6) performance management, (7) training/skills development, and (8) community involvement. Companies designated as a Top Employer demonstrate the most progressive and forward-thinking workplace programs in the Waterloo area.
NDI was recognized for its commitment to training/skills development, its vacation entitlement, and for its commendable response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

• NDI encourages lifelong learning with tuition subsidies for courses related and indirectly related to an employee’s current role (to $1,000) and provides subsidies for professional accreditation.
• NDI provides three weeks of paid vacation for new employees and considers prior work experience when setting vacation entitlements for new employees.
• NDI responded to the pandemic by offering additional pay to onsite production staff, and providing office equipment to employees who moved to a work-from-home arrangement, ensuring they had a comfortable home office.
