NDI Navigation Markers – Detect OEM Instruments with Pinpoint Accuracy
Navigation markers are a key component of the Polaris® optical navigation solution. When attached to OEM instruments, navigation markers function as triangulation points for the instrument within the treatment space. This is due to the marker’s unique retro-reflective surface, which allows the Polaris optical tracker to ‘see’ it during tracking. The navigation marker and the Polaris optical tracker work together to localize, detect, and track OEM instruments with pinpoint accuracy.
NDI’s passive markers include the NDI Passive Sphere™ (for snap-fit posts), the Disposable Reflective Marker Sphere (for Brainlab threaded posts), and the Radix™ Lens.
